Come rain or shine this Bank Holiday, Box Rocks will be back to entertain the crowds at the Queens Head Inn, in Box, starting at 2pm and rocking through to 10:30pm.
Box Rocks started back in 1994 as a small gig with a few local bands playing on the Queens Head Inn pub roof overlooking the garden.
As its popularity grew, the organisers now set up a bigger stage so there’s a larger viewing area for everyone to enjoy the host of acts that will perform on Monday 28th August.
Event organiser Dean Creighton said: “It’s our 24th year and we are really excited about this year’s line-up – we’ve got eight bands, playing over eight hours, including the Rebel Heroes, Arcadia Roots and The Corporations to name but a few.
“Everyone is welcome, and you can buy the tickets on the gate. Adult tickets are £5 and it’s £2 for a child. We’ll be donating the entry proceeds to The Forever Friends Appeal, the primary charity for the Royal United Hospital, Bath.”
The event has been raising money for the Royal United Hospital for the past 14 years, with over £30,000 being donated to The Forever Friends Appeal.
Claudia Hickin, Senior Community Fundraiser, The Forever Friends Appeal said: “We are so grateful for the continued support from Box Rocks and their generosity has helped fund new equipment in the wards and departments at the RUH, as well as improving services for our patients and visitors.”
