Ben Howlett, the MP for Bath, is hosting an event in Parliament on Wednesday 8th June in conjunction with Taste of Bath, the online artisan deli, giving local producers the chance to showcase their food and drink.
During the event a variety of producers, who feature on Taste of Bath, will get to display their food and drink to Members of Parliament from across all parties, including the Secretary of State for Environment Food and Rural Affairs, Liz Truss.
Speaking of this exciting opportunity, Ben said: “I am looking forward to welcoming local food and drink producers to Parliament to show guests, including the Secretary of State, exactly what Bath has to offer.
“There are so many reasons to visit Bath but not everyone will know about the fabulous variety of local produce and independent shops the city offers.
“I hope this event will get more people excited about visiting Bath and eating local produce.”
The event is being organised in support of the DEFRA year of food and it’s hoped it will help small businesses in Bath.
It is also being supported by Bath Tourism Plus who will be attending the event.
Taste of Bath, Bath Boutique Stays and the Bath Thermae Spa will be giving away prizes in a competition to promote Bath at the event, including a hamper of Bath produce, a 2 night stay & Twilight package at the Spa.
