Update – 10.30am:
The storm has now passed over the area, with showers and less gusty wind remaining for the rest of the day.
Trains are still be severely disrupted due to conditions across the country, cancellations are also taking place.

Update – 9.00am:
Entry Hill will remain closed for the next three hours as Council teams continue to remove the large fallen tree and surrounding debris.
The lane between Marlborough Buildings and Royal Victoria Park is also blocked due to a large branch in the road.
Train delays continue across the area.
Update – 8.00am:
A second fallen tree on Entry Hill is being dealt with by Council teams.
The Highways Agency are attending various locations on the A36 (including near the junction for Hinton Charterhouse) to remove fallen trees and debris on the roads.
Fallen branches are being reported in a number of locations, most of them safely on the pavement and not affecting traffic.
Disruption across Bath has been limited to mainly fallen trees and rail delays across the area.
Update – 7.30am:
Bath and North East Somerset Council’s road teams have already cleared away debris at 17 locations reported to the Council.
All local roads should be flowing normally shortly. They don’t expect any further disruption to services.
Council Waste Collections are operating as normal.
No major flooding has been reported across the area.
Update – 7.15am:
Fallen trees are the main problem in Bath this morning, you can find more information on the road closures below.
Warminster Road has a number of fallen trees and branches scattered across the road. Approach with care.
A number of First Great Western train services from Bath Spa Station have been cancelled. These include:

08.13 – London Paddington
08.30 – Bristol Temple Meads
08.59 – Weymouth
09.13 – London Paddington
09.30 – Bristol Temple Meads
10.07 – Weymouth
11.07 – Westbury
12.57 – Brighton (East Sussex)
Forecast
A windy day, but the strongest, locally damaging, winds easing quickly this morning.
The heaviest rain easing too, however scattered heavy showers soon developing which may be thundery.
Update – 9.00pm:
First Great Western will be running a revised timetable until around 10am on Monday morning.
A reduced service of one train per hour will run between London Paddington and Swansea and between London Paddington and Bristol Temple Meads. This will increase journey times by up to 60 minutes.
Trains that run between London Paddington and Oxford will not operate.
A reduced service will run between London Paddington and the West of England, with extended journey times up to 70 minutes.
Trains between London Paddington and Cheltenham Spa will run but may be amended to run between Swindon and Cheltenham Spa only. Train times may be extended by up to 35 minutes.
Update – 7.00pm:
This evening
A band of heavy rain will continue to spread from the south overnight, giving the risk of localised flooding.
Damaging winds will also continue to develop, peaking in strength through the early hours, bringing the risk of disruption by Monday morning.
Monday:
The damaging winds will ease throughout the morning, but still remain strong.
Otherwise sunny spells and scattered showers. Showers turning heavy in places, with the risk of hail and thunder.
Update – 3.30pm:
A spokesman for the Environment Agency has said: “Environment Agency teams are out working to minimise river flood risk, clearing debris from streams and unblocking culverts. We will continue to closely monitor the situation ready to issue flood warnings if needed. We are supporting local authorities who will respond to any reports of surface water flooding.”
Update – 12.30pm:

20-40mm of rain expected overnight into Monday.
Heavy rain quickly spreading across the region during the evening, with further outbreaks of heavy rain overnight.
Damaging winds also likely, giving the risk of fallen trees and disruption.
Monday
Winds of up to 80mph expected.
Damaging winds easing throughout the morning, but still remaining strong.
Otherwise sunny spells and scattered showers across the region, with the showers turning heavy in places.
