The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for heavy rain and strong winds for the Bath area later this week, as Storm Ciarán sweeps across the country.
A warning for heavy rain will come into force from 6pm on Wednesday, 1st November, with up to 25mm of rainfall possible in some areas.
The warning continues through to Thursday 2nd November at 6pm, when a yellow alert for strong winds of up to 60mph, also concludes.
The Met Office said: “Periods of heavy rain or showers are likely to affect much of the UK from late Wednesday through Thursday.
“The highest rainfall amounts are likely in southern and western areas where a further 20 to 25mm is possible quite widely.”
“Winds could gust up to 50 or 60mph inland from the early hours. The strongest winds will begin to ease later in the day from the southwest.”
