Avon and Somerset Police are renewing their appeal to identify two men who helped a sexual assault victim before officers arrived on the scene in the early hours of Friday morning.
The victim was attacked by a man on Victoria Bridge Road in Bath sometime between 4.15am and 5am last Friday (7th April).
The attacker was of slight build and was wearing a black top and red cap.
Detective Inspector Dominic Graham said: “We continue to update the victim on the progress of our investigation and provide her with all the specialist support she needs following what was a very traumatic incident for her.
“I’d like to reiterate how rare attacks of this kind are in Bath and reassure people we’re carrying out a full and thorough investigation.
“We’re still keen to talk to two men who helped the victim in the moments before officers arrived as they may have information or witnessed something which could assist our inquiry.
“If you were in the Victoria Bridge Road area of Bath in the early hours of last Friday and saw or heard something suspicious then I’d also ask you to contact us if you haven’t already.
“Any information, no matter how insignificant you think it might be, could prove to be crucial.”
A 30-year-old man arrested in connection with the incident has been released under investigation.
Anyone with information is asked to call 101 and provide the call handler with the reference 5217076623.
