Police are appealing for witnesses after a number of cars were damaged with a sledgehammer in Bath earlier this month.

The incidents happened on the evening of Saturday 3rd January, between 7pm and 11pm, in the Bear Flat and Twerton areas of the city.

Officers attended and arrested a man in his 40s on suspicion of criminal damage. He has since been released under investigation while enquiries continue.

A review of CCTV footage has been carried out and house-to-house enquiries have taken place, and officers are now asking anyone with information or footage of the incidents to come forward.

Police are also keen to hear from anyone whose vehicle was damaged in the area that night and who has not yet spoken to an officer.

If you have any information which could help the investigation, call 101 and quote reference number 5226002058.
