Curo’s ongoing South Bath Transport Options public consultation has been temporarily paused due to the recent decision by the prime minister Theresa May to hold a general election in early June.

In a statement, Curo said: “When we started the South Bath Transport Options public consultation in March nobody knew that a general election was about to be called; the official campaign period has now started and Parliament has been dissolved.

“In order to respect the election campaign period we have taken the decision to pause all publicity activity and consultation.”

Curo is expected to resume publicity from 9th June and will extend the public consultation period so that it closes on Friday 16th June.

The statement continued: “The public can continue to submit their feedback either online or by post during this time.

“We look forward to working with the successful Parliamentary candidate when they take up their role in Bath to support the delivery of affordable housing in the city and the associated community facilities and infrastructure.”

The planned consultation event on 6th May in Weston has been postponed and a new time and venue will be announced in due course.

In the meantime, the Curo feedback survey can continue to be completed online at www.southbathtransportoptions.co.uk.
