The organisers of Peasedown St John’s popular Party in the Park are on the lookout for local companies to sponsor this year’s summer festival, taking place in June.

In the run up to the 11th annual summer celebration, local businesses and organisations are being asked to come forward to show their support.

Juliet Webb, the festival’s new fundraising manager, said: “With our vision of making Party in the Park bigger and better every year, this year’s extravaganza will cost over £8,000 to host.

“Seven hours of live entertainment on our main stage, hot food and drink, a huge range of stalls and attractions, the return of our Peasedown Diamond cider, the Sara Holley Community Award, and our very own Peasedown Dog Show, are just a few of the things on offer on the 8th June.

“As well as the fun side of the show, we also need to make sure we can cover the costs of our public liability insurance, the premises license and all the health and safety aspects that shouldn’t be taken for granted!”

Businesses and organisations that want to support Party in the Park can sign up to a number of sponsorship packages that include adverts in the official programme; logos on banners, posters and the event website; promotion through the local press; and acknowledgement by the festival’s hosts.

So far, Peasedown-based Bath Audi has signed up as the first of this year’s sponsors.

Business Manager Julian Drew said: “I am delighted that Bath Audi is once again able to support the Peasedown Party in the Park event.

“The party is great fun for all the family and allows us to get involved with the local community that is just a stone’s throw from our dealership on Bath Business Park.

“I will be keeping my fingers crossed that the weather is kind to us on that day so that the people of Peasedown can really enjoy an excellent day out for all the family.”

Last year, almost 3,000 people attended Party in the Park, making it one of the most popular and well-attended community events in Bath and North East Somerset.

Juliet added: “We would be grateful for any contribution made, and with our sponsorship packages, we’ll ensure that all sponsors receive recognition and advertising opportunities prior to the event, and on the big day itself.”

Party in the Park officially starts at 12 noon on Saturday 8th June on Beacon Field, with festivities running until 7pm.
