Kevin Jordan was in the dock on Wednesday 29th April, charged with a total of 13 offences against three complainants.
Some of the allegations date back to 1961, and the most recent are said to have been carried out between 1997 and 2000.
Jordan faces 10 charges of indecent assault on a girl under the age of 14, two charges of gross indecency with a girl under 14, and one charge of unlawful sexual intercourse with a girl under the age of 13.
The latter offence is said to have taken place between December 1964 and December 1967 and is indictable only, meaning it must be heard at the Crown Court.
No pleas were taken at Wednesday’s hearing. Jordan, of Lulworth Road, Keynsham, will next appear at Bristol Crown Court on 5th June for a plea and trial preparation hearing.
He was granted unconditional bail.
