Visit Bath have launched their new website, visitbath.co.uk, to better promote Bath and the surrounding area to thousands of tourists and potential visitors each year.

Following a year-long design project, responded to by feedback from focus groups of users and Visit Bath members, visitbath.co.uk has been updated with a more modern look and feel and a more intuitive user journey, the most significant work to be done to the website since 2014.

Users now have a far better experience as the new website has been designed with intuitive navigation and a sophisticated search function to make finding relevant information easier.

Users can find an array of information useful for planning a stay in Bath, including attractions, tours, restaurants, shops and a comprehensive list of events taking place in the city.

Integrated reviews and an accommodation booking system provided by TripAdvisor help users plan their holiday and bring credibility to the site, as this impartial review site is trusted by users.

The new website is fully mobile responsive which means that it looks great on all devices, from mobiles and tablets to computers. And, as the new website is full-width it better showcases stunning imagery of Bath and the new 4K video, highlighting the beauty of Bath and the many things visitors can do during their visit to Bath.

The new website was developed in collaboration with Touchpoint Design, a small independent Bath-based design agency who Visit Bath had worked with on previous website projects and a brand identity process.

Visit Bath were confident that the agency could create a website that would better fit the needs of consumers and members whilst successfully integrating their branding into the digital design.

David James, Chief Executive of Visit Bath, said: “This website has been a year in the making and we are really pleased with the website’s design and functionality.

“Bath is a modern and creative city and at Visit Bath we are striving to promote the city’s vibrant and contemporary culture as well as the rich history and heritage the city is renowned for.

“It is fantastic that we have been able to launch a new website which more closely reflects the city we work to promote.

“Visitbath.co.uk is the place to go to plan a stay in Bath, users can find accommodation, places to eat and drink and attractions to visit, as well as find out events that will be taking place in the city during their stay.”
