The awards recognise the highest levels of service, product knowledge, initiative, innovation and community involvement.

Flourish at Farleigh Road, in the village of Norton St Philip, was a finalist for two categories and scooped the nationwide award for Best Retailer in the Specialist Food Hall category.

Flourish was also highly commended in the Newcomer of the Year category.

The judges recognised Flourish as a business that champions British produce, sustainable sourcing and exceptional customer experience.

Finalists were selected following a detailed judging programme, and the final decision was made from a mystery shopper visit in both the food hall and café.

Flourish at Farleigh Road opened in November 2024, the sister site to Flourish at Glenavon Farm which opened in Saltford in 2021.

In March 2025, Flourish opened its own production kitchen at Farleigh Road, supplying both sites with homemade scotch eggs, sausage rolls, sponge cakes, cookies and more using local ingredients.

A people and planet-focused destination to eat and shop, Flourish offers a wide variety of artisan food and drink products plus a kitchen serving freshly-prepared seasonal dishes.

Samantha Riddington, general manager of Flourish at Farleigh Road, said: “This award is a testament to our brilliant team who worked so hard through challenging times to get us to where we are now.

“We’re thrilled to receive this award, especially in our first full year of trading as Flourish, and this achievement is a great boost for the team who go above and beyond every day.”
