From Good Friday’s season opening fixture on 14th April, Bath Racecourse, part of the Arena Racing Company, will be providing spectators with the ability to order drinks and food from their phones and online.
Bath Racecourse will be the first of Arena Racing Company’s 15 racecourses to use the service, launching with both table delivery at the exclusive Roof Garden area and click & collect from the bars.
The initial service will be launched in time for the Somerset course’s Good Friday Raceday, after which Bath Racecourse plans to expand it to other areas of the course.
Orders can be made on the app, which is available on the App Store and Google Play. The racecourse will be launching online ordering from the website soon.
Andrew White, CEO, Preoday, commented: “Together with the Jockey Club Racecourses’ Epsom Downs and Sandown Park, we’re delighted that the Arena Racing Company has selected Preoday’s technology for mobile and online ordering.
“Starting with Bath Racecourse, the service will give race supporters the convenience of ordering refreshments and services on their phones when they want it, rather than standing in a queue, leaving them more time to engage with the racing.”
Jo Hall, Executive Director, Bath Racecourse, said: “We’re very excited to be introducing this app & online ordering at Bath Racecourse. We’re always keen to try new innovations within the racing world and look at new ways to improve the experience of our customers.
“Using the Preoday platform to allow customers to order their food and drink from their phone, and skip any queues, was an obvious next step. We’re also excited about the number of services it can be used for, from click & collect to table delivery and onwards – the opportunities are endless.”
