Pharmacies across Bath and North East Somerset will have restricted opening hours over the Easter holidays, and local residents are being advised to make sure they are prepared and have all the medicines they might need.

“If you or someone you care for requires medicines regularly, don’t forget to make sure you order and collect repeat prescriptions in good time so you have enough medicine to cover the holiday period,” advises Dr Ian Orpen, a GP in Bath and the Clinical Chair of Bath and North East Somerset Clinical Commissioning Group.

You can order and renew prescriptions through the GP Online Service provided by NHS England. Find out more about this service at www.nhs.uk.

While some pharmacies will be open on Easter weekend, you are advised to check by phone if the pharmacy of your choice is open before you visit.

A full list of Easter pharmacy opening times for the region will be published on the B&NES CCG website shortly.

The Bath and North East Somerset Clinical Commissioning Group (BaNES CCG) is the NHS organisation that monitors and coordinates the delivery of health services on behalf of everyone living in Bath and North East Somerset.
