The weather forecast received by the Council indicates that snowfall is likely between 2am and 10am on Friday 16th December 2011.
They anticipate that because of the wet weather, there is unlikely to be significant disruption on the road network as the snow should not settle. The Council’s gritting fleet will be treating the main road network as required.
On high ground where the snow is more likely to settle, there could be some disruption on surrounding roads. However, warmer afternoon weather is likely to melt any settled snow by the afternoon. Drivers are urged to take special care on the roads and allow adequate time for their journey.
All Council services are anticipated to operate as normal, including waste collections.
