A variety of fun activities are on offer during the summer holidays at Bath’s local heritage attractions.
From 23rd July to 30th August in Bath, the Council-run attractions are hosting a number of craft and activity sessions for the whole family to enjoy. There are chances to learn about your local history at the Roman Baths, create sporting and royal designs at the Fashion Museum, and let the children channel their inspiration into art at the Victoria Art Gallery.
Councillor Cherry Beath (Lib-Dem, Combe Down), Cabinet Member for Sustainable Development, said: “This year Bath & North East Somerset Council’s heritage attractions are staging more fun family events than ever before – we’ve even scheduled an extra week to fit in the 18 different fun activities!
“We welcome all families to come along and join in with our summer celebrations – particularly with those fun activities where you can keep the children entertained for free.”
Admission to Bath & North East Somerset Council’s family drop-in events at the Roman Baths and Fashion Museum is free to local residents on production of a Discovery Card. The Fashion Museum events are also free to National Trust members. Normal entry prices apply to everyone else.
Residents of Bath & North East Somerset Council can apply for a Discovery Card by taking along two forms of ID to the following Council buildings: the Roman Baths; Riverside in Keynsham; The Hollies in Midsomer Norton and also the Discovery Card point in the new One Stop Shop at Lewis House, Bath.
All the Young @ Art Club activities at the Victoria Art Gallery are suitable for age 3 to 11 years, cost £3.75 per child and must be booked in advance on 01225 477233.
