The Snow Mouse is described as an enchanting winters tale and to be fair, it is exactly that.
The brilliant Travelling Light transform the Roper Room into a magical snow world, it is a sensory dream with a story to match.
Performed by the excellent Dan Amstrong, the almost nonverbal show aimed at the very young is pitch perfect.
Coupled with a glorious Snow Mouse, made by Marc Parrett, the couple set off on a winter adventure of ice skating, sledging and snowman building.
The soundscape is calming and music by Alex Vann meets the vision to complete the experience.
The Direction by Nik Partridge allows the story to unfurl with great joy and when the friendship is challenged, the audience is right with the worries of Dan Armstrong.
Travelling Light is well known for its work with young audiences and once again they gift the mesmerised audience with an absolute feast of images and wonderful memories.
Productions such as these are so precious to capture the imagination and beginnings of theatre.
The Egg is clearly doing what it knows how to do best. If you have not met the Snow Mouse, please try, you will not be disappointed.
