Bouncers was first performed in 1977 and remains a firm favourite with audiences and schools alike.

The 4 burly doormen on a Liverpool club night weekend multi-role through the antics of the visitors. Some get in and overindulge, some are rejected and the girls are definitely out for a good time.
The excellent cast of Frazer Hammill (Lucky Eric), Nick Figgis (Judd), Tom Whittaker (Ralph) and George Reid (Les) bring so many characters to life and the energy never fails, whilst the choreography reflects the moments of times gone by.
There is no doubt that the trials and tribulations of the clubbers and Bouncers are rooted in the past, so much of this script is still as relevant as ever.
George Reid captures the comedy, sleaze and slightly stupid Les with ease. Frazer Hammill is a reflective Lucky Eric, seeing more than he wishes over the years whilst Tom Whittaker as Ralph has great comic timing and is a perfect sexy Susie.
Nick Figgis as Judd complements the team and their relationships are solid.
The simple staging and use of props is all that is needed to bring this relatively short but challenging piece to life.
Whilst some of the more misogynistic references may seem a little tired, the truth is that perhaps things never really change that much.
The older audiences and younger alike will no doubt understand the mirror that John Godber holds up to the clubbing generations.
