Hooker Tom Dunn, tighthead prop Kieran Verden and flanker Sam Underhill have all renewed their contracts with Bath Rugby.

The hugely popular Dunn, who will be staying at The Rec until 2028, made his debut for the Blue, Black & White in 2012 and has clocked up 261 appearances for the club.

The 33-year-old said: “I’m really proud to represent this club for as long as I have.

“This group is creating something special and I feel privileged to be a part of it.

“The Blue, Black & White fans have been unbelievable and I’m going to do everything I can to give them more to celebrate.”

Verden has 34 caps for Bath and will remain with the club until the end of next season.

He said: “To be renewing my contract at Bath is a special moment for me and my family.

“The fans are amazing and make The Rec an incredible place to be on matchday.

“It’s been a journey and I’m excited to continue and push for greater things with the club.”

England regular Underhill – who will be on the bench for his country in their Guinness Six Nations match against Italy on Saturday 7th March – has made 117 appearances for Bath and has extended his time at The Rec until 2028.

Underhill, who has 48 England caps and made his Blue, Black & White debut in 2017, said: “Bath has very much become home for me, my wife and our son. It’s a brilliant club, and city, full of wonderful people.

“I feel incredibly grateful to be able to continue my journey here and look forward to what the future holds for us.”

Johann van Graan, Bath’s head of rugby, said: “Tom has been ever present in our 23 since our journey started together back in July 2022.

“He’s one of the most consistent players that we have, both on and off the pitch, and he embodies everything we stand for here at Bath, the main one being tough to beat.

“It’s great news that Dunnie will continue his journey at Bath Rugby as a one-club man.

“All of us at the club are so happy that Kieran will be staying with us for another season.

“Kieran is a great example of what we as a group have become and always puts the team before himself.

“He is a club-focused man who embodies our family-first and tough-to-beat values.

“Sam is a world-class player and renowned all over the world for his collisions in contact.

“But at our club he is a very important part of our journey both on and off the field.

“We’re excited that Sam is continuing his journey with us.”

However, back row Ethan Staddon will be leaving Bath at the end of the season – to join Bristol Bears.

Staddon said: “Bristol are one of the most exciting clubs in the Premiership, in terms of both their philosophy and their ambition.

“I can’t wait to get started and make a significant contribution.

“I’m thankful for everyone’s support at Bath, and I’m ready for the next challenge.”

Pat Lam, Bristol’s director of rugby, said: “Ethan is a player we’ve admired for a long time.

“He has tremendous potential and genuine versatility, with the ability to make an impact right across the back row – something that’s particularly valuable within our smaller squad.

“I believe strong competition drives standards, and Ethan will add to that environment, pushing and challenging the talented back-rowers we already have here.

“What really impressed me, though, is his attitude. He’s driven, coachable and fully committed to improving and performing at the highest level.

“At just 23, he’s already demonstrated his quality in the Premiership and at international age-grade level.

“We’re excited to welcome him to Bristol Bears and to support the next stage of his development to achieve his dreams.”
