Carroll – whose yard is at Cropthorne near Pershore, Worcestershire – sent out Moon Over The Sea in The Download The Fairplay App Apprentice Handicap Stakes (Class 6) over one mile, three furlongs and 137 yards.

With Myla Coppins on board, the 2/1 favourite passed the post one length clear of runner-up Endofastorm, a 5/1 shot trained by Joe Ponting at Hillesley in South Gloucestershire and ridden by Millie Wonnacott.

Next was The Silvershine Turf Services Handicap Stakes (Class 6), over one mile, two furlongs and 37 yards.

Winner, by two-and-a-half lengths, was Party Island (11/4), trained by Dennis Coakley at West Ilsley, Berkshire, and with George Bass in the irons.

In second place was 13/8 favourite Rating, piloted by Rossa Ryan and from the stables of Grace Harris at Shirenewton, Monmouthshire.

There was a 40/1 winner of the third contest, the £10,000 Silvershine Turf Services Support Bath Maiden Stakes (Class 4) over five furlongs and 160 yards.

Dandyman Dan, under Pat Cosgrave, was victorious for handler David Evans (Pandy, Monmouthshire), finishing one and a quarter lengths clear of second-placed Leucothea, the 11/8 favourite.

Leucothea was ridden by Sean Levey and is cared for by Richard Hannon at Collingbourne Ducis, Wiltshire.

However, the favourite was successful in the fourth race, the £10,200 Mark Futcher Half-Century Handicap Stakes (Class 4) over five furlongs and 10 yards.

Jockey Darragh Keenan steered 11/4 favourite Alvin – trained by George Scott at Newmarket, Suffolk – to a one-and-three-quarter-length win over runner-up Angel Numbers (11/2).

Angel Numbers, with Ryan in the saddle, is trained by Dr Richard Newland and Jamie Insole near Droitwich, Worcestershire.

There was a thrilling finish in the fifth contest, The Bet Now With fairplaybet.co.uk Handicap Stakes (Class 5) over five furlongs and 10 yards, with Solar Edge (15/2) prevailing by a nose from second-placed The Thames Boatman (5/2).

Solar Edge, prepared by Christopher Mason at Caerwent, Monmouthshire, was piloted by Gina Mangan.

Finley Marsh was on board The Thames Boatman, trained by Richard Hughes at Upper Lambourn, Berkshire.

The penultimate race, the £10,200, one-mile Signs Express Handicap Stakes (Class 4), produced a victory by two and three-quarter lengths for evens favourite Candonomore, ahead of runner-up Nakaaha (9/1).

Candonomore, trained by Stuart Williams at Newmarket, was ridden by Levey. And Ryan was aboard the Harris-handled Nakaaha.

The closing Signs Express Proudly Support Bath Racecourse Handicap Stakes (Class 6) over one mile was a close affair that was won by 11/4 joint favourite Takeitorleaveit, from Jonathan Portman’s camp at Upper Lambourn.

Partnered by Rob Hornby, Takeitorleaveit triumphed by a neck from runner-up Denby’s Dream (3/1), trained by Charlie Pike at Danebury Hill in Hampshire and steered by Thomas Greatrex.

Going was firm.

The next meeting at Bath will be the Spring Evening Racing fixture on Wednesday 29th April.

This is an additional fixture for Bath’s 2026 programme, having been gained from Brighton Racecourse.

All general admission tickets are priced at £10.

Hannah Chree, Bath Racecourse’s executive director, said: “We’re very excited to be able to host this race evening.

“Tickets are available for just £10, so please do come along and join in the fun at this extra fixture.”

Tickets can be purchased here.
