Bath Rugby have begun an investigation after Gavin Henson was seen in a video being knocked out by new teammate Carl Fearns.
It was confirmed this morning that Bath Rugby were investigating an incident involving their players at the Pig and Fiddle pub on Broad Street.
The incident took place on Wednesday night. Scroll down for the video.
It was only this afternoon that footage emerged of the attack, allegedly because Henson had been ‘swanning around’ in the pub.
Fellow teammate Guy Mercer, who previously went to King Edward’s School in Bath is seen holding Fearns back during the incident.
Avon and Somerset Police were made aware of the attack on Wednesday night at the time, but the players moved on from the pub and the officers travelling to the scene were stood down.
Bath Rugby made the following statement regarding the incident: “Bath Rugby can confirm there was a minor incident in the city centre on Wednesday night involving a few members of the playing squad.
“The club are investigating the matter as a priority and will only make a statement when further information is available.”
