Six more people were taken to the RUH last night after a second serious crash in just a few days on the A46 north of Bath.
The crash happened between Swainswick and Nimlet just before 4.50pm.
The collision between a van and a car on the bends was during the intense rain that was falling across the city yesterday afternoon.
Upon arrival of the emergency services, ambulance crews took six people to the RUH with non-serious injuries.
The crash caused a fuel spillage on the road, which led to it being closed both ways whilst the Highways Agency cleaned it up.
This is the second crash in as many days at that spot, with a similar incident happening over the weekend injuring three people. Firefighters had to cut a trapped passenger out of the wreckage of one of the vehicles.
Roads across the area became extremely dangerous with standing water from recent weather conditions, though it is not known whether this was a contributing factor to either crash.
