Prior Park Road in Bath was closed by police this morning after an incident near Lyncombe Vale at around 8.30am, though the road has now been reopened.
The NOW Bath team first received reports of the closure shortly after 8.30am.
Avon and Somerset Police say that the road was closed due to an accident at Lyncombe Vale.
Further information suggested the incident took place near the Honda garage.
Motorists were advised to use an alternative route. The road re-opened at 9.40am.
