The Council’s Youth Connect team is providing new drop-in sessions for people aged 16-19 (or up to 25 with special educational needs) who are not in education, training or employment.

Youth Connect Personal Advisors offer one to one support to find educational, training or employment opportunities through the creation of an action plan and where necessary practical support.

Young people are offered the chance to consider their options, aspirations and employment or education  pathways.

The drop-in sessions take place:

  • 1-2pm on Tuesdays at Radstock Youth Hub;
  • 2-3pm on Thursdays at The Hollies, Midsomer Norton;
  • 11.30am-12.30pm on Fridays at Paulton Library Hub.

Young people who are not in education, employment or training may also request appointments or home visits outside of these drop-in sessions, if they wish to meet with a Personal Advisor.

Parents or professionals who are working with young people aged 16-19 (or up to 25 with special educational needs) who are not in education, training or employment can refer them to Youth Connect so that they can be offered support.

For more information regarding these services in Somer Valley please call 01225 395055 or contact [email protected].
