Environmental group Transition Bath have arranged a hustings where all six prospective Metro Mayor candidates will be asked questions on a range of environmental matters relating to the area of Transport, Housing and Education and Skills.
The questions are being crowd-sourced from the people of Bath with the most popular put to the candidates.
Chair of Transition Bath, Peter Andrews said: “There is great interest in how the new Metro Mayor will approach the question of environmental sustainability in our region.
“From the number and variety of questions we have already received it looks like their answers on these topics could well affect the way people vote.
“The questions already range from the A35 – 46 link road, to the candidates’ attitude to fracking, to how the region will plan for the introduction of driverless cars, to where the proposed 20,000 new houses for B&NES should be built.”
The hustings will take place on the evening of 26th April at BRLSI in Queen Square, Bath. The event is free to attend but tickets must be booked in advance.
Further details of the event, how to ask a question and book your ticket can be found on the Transition Bath website: www.transitonbath.org.
