Ben Howlett, Member of Parliament for Bath, recently presented student-made models to the Secretary of State for International Development, Justine Greening for the Send My Friend to School Campaign.
The models, which were created by pupils at Hayesfield School in Bath, contain messages saying what the students would do if they were a world leader.
Ideas included ending world hunger, building more houses and ensuring everyone is treated equally.
After presenting the models to the Secretary of State, Ben said: “It is great to see students getting involved and thinking about the problems affecting the world and what we can do to improve the lives of those less fortunate than us.
“The ideas on the models were very thought provoking and I was proud to say that students from Bath designed them.”
Justine Greening said: “I think these models illustrate just how conscientious young people are of the issues that we face, and that someday they too will face.
“The range of ideas on these models is truly impressive and I applaud the students of Haysfield for making them.”
The Secretary of State took the models back to the Department for International Development following the presentation.
