Avon and Somerset Police are asking for help from the public to identify a man they want to talk to about a report of assault and impersonating a police officer.
Two men confronted a group of teenagers on the second floor of Avon Street car park on Sunday 31st Augustat 3am.
One claimed he’d been assaulted by one of the teenagers who he said had thrown water at him.
He claimed he was a police officer called PC Bradley and that he was arresting the 18-year-old.
When then teenager resisted he was put in an arm lock and wrestled to the floor. The group then agreed to walk to Bath police station in Manvers Street, but when they met three city centre marshals in Dorchester Street the two older men disappeared.
Both are described as white, in their late 20s to early 30s.
The one claiming to be an officer had short black hair, stubble or a short beard, and was wearing a brown or black jacket, casual trousers and a check shirt.
The second man was around 5ft 10 ins tall, skinny, with light brown curly hair, and wearing a blue shirt and jeans.
Anyone who recognises the man pictured, the man himself, or who has any information, is asked to contact Bath police on 101 quoting crime reference number 89868/14.
