Avon and Somerset Police are appealing for witnesses to a road traffic collision on the A4 in Saltford at the end of last month, after the driver died in hospital.

A man injured in the crash on the A4 at about 6.30pm on 26th June, died in hospital on 6th July.

A Vauxhall was travelling along the A4 in the direction of Saltford when it crossed the carriageway and was in collision with an Audi car travelling in the opposite direction.

The 62-year-old driver of the Vauxhall was taken to the RUH in Bath with a suspected broken nose, which was not thought to be life threatening or life changing.

Whilst he remained in hospital, he died at 6.17am on 6th July.

Collision investigators have re-issued an appeal for witnesses.

They are keen to hear from anyone who was on the A4 near to Saltford on the day of the collision who may have information to help their enquiries.

Anyone able to help is asked to contact the collision investigation unit on the force number 101.
