Children living in Peasedown St John and the surrounding area are being invited to three action packed days of fun and games during the school summer holidays.

St John’s Church, with a dedicated team of children’s workers, will be hosting the SJs Big Adventure Holiday Club – which will feature the very best entertainment for primary school aged children on 11th, 12th and 13th August.

Rob Bubyer, the children’s pastor at St John’s Church, said: ‘‘Our church holiday clubs for children have become so popular that we now host six a year, instead of the two or three we’ve put on in previous years.

“St John’s has a growing children’s ministry that is doing more and more each week to engage and enthuse young people in our village.”

High demand and popularity means that the 100-space club fills up quickly, so early booking is recommended.

This year’s summer get together will allow children to explore the Bible, make new friends, sing songs, learn how Jesus works through them in their everyday lives and bounce on the BIG inflatable obstacle course.

Revd Matthew Street added: “These children’s holiday clubs are in addition to work we’re doing across the community.

“At St John’s church, which is part of the wider St J’s Group of Anglican churches, we run regular school assemblies, after-school clubs, breakfast clubs, seasonal holiday clubs, and four children’s groups every Sunday.

“We also hold our Sunday afternoon worship meetings at Peasedown Youth and Children’s Centre.”

The SJ’s Big Adventure Holiday Club, which is for all primary school aged children, is just £12 per child for three full days.

The fun and games will continue on Sunday 16th August where parents and carers can come along to see what the children have been doing and learning throughout the week at a special church service at 4.30pm in St John’s Church, followed by a bring-and-share tea.
