The 67-bedroom hospital in Bath was noted for how well staff worked together and had pride in the delivery of care to patients.
The national healthcare watchdog, the Care and Quality Commission (CQC), also praised the way staff involved patients and families throughout their treatment.
The inspectors further noted that this had directly helped patients make better and more informed decisions about their care.
The report, published in May, also highlighted a strong culture of openness and a commitment to solving issues in a collaborative and proactive way.
Following the introduction of the Circle Health Group philosophy in July last year, staff were pleased to see their efforts to embrace this new culture of working had been recognised at the highest level.
Kogie Naidoo, Executive Director of The Bath Clinic, said: “We are delighted to have been rated “Good” following our inspection by the CQC.
“This is a great reflection on the hard work and dedication of our staff across the hospital and corporate teams.
“This is a challenging time for people working in healthcare and to have had our culture and delivery of care recognised as making a difference to the patients we care for is incredibly rewarding.
“We are fully committed to continuing our work to deliver the best possible care for patients in Bath and further afield.
“Having achieved “Outstanding” for care, we are excited about building on this to achieve “Outstanding” across all domains.”
The CQC regulates private hospitals to the same level as NHS hospitals, looking at how well providers perform in five ‘domains’ from patient safety to overall hospital management.
The inspectors who visited The Bath Clinic said that the way the team at the hospital had engaged with them had been important in securing the rating of the hospital.
