Firefighters were called to The Bridge Coffee Shop just after 6.30am this morning.
On arrival, crews found the fire on the third floor of the building.
Four firefighters in breathing apparatus used two high pressure hose reels and a covering jet to put the fire out.
A thermal imaging camera was used to check for hotspots. Fortunately nobody was hurt.
It’s thought the fire started accidentally after a hob with items on top was switched on by mistake.
