Witness Appeal Launched After Bath Sexual Assault

Avon and Somerset Police have launched an appeal for witnesses following a sexual assault on a young woman in Bath on Friday 19th December.

A 24-year-old woman was walking back from James Street to Upper Bristol Road between 9.45pm and 10.15pm when she was approached by a man.

The suspect then sexually assaulted the victim and attempted to kiss her.

The victim pushed the man away and he ran off.

The suspect is described as a white man, in his 40’s, of slim build with a small amount of grey hair on his chin.

He was approximately 5ft 6ins tall and was wearing a black hooded top which was pulled up over his face, black training bottoms and he spoke with a local accent.
