The Scallop Shell fish and chip shop, which started at The White Row Farm in Beckington near Frome, has opened a second outlet at 20 Monmouth Place in Bath.

The 1500 sq ft unit has been fully refurbished to allow The Scallop Shell space for a 40-seater restaurant and takeaway serving the best in sustainable seafood in informal surroundings.

The takeaway opened on Monday 15th December, with the restaurant set to welcome its first customers in the New Year.

Lindsay Holdoway, Managing Director of HPH Commercial Property said: “Having quickly established itself as a hugely popular destination fish and chip shop in the region, The Scallop Shell is a welcome addition to the Bath food scene.

“We’re pleased to have been able to assist Garry and his team in the refurbishment of the premises and we wish him every success for his second outlet.”

Garry Rosser, owner of The Scallop Shell said: “We’ve been delighted with the success we’ve had since we opened the fish and chip shop at White Row Farm Shop just three years ago.

“HPH Commercial Property has been very helpful in enabling us to expand on that success and open our new Bath restaurant. We cannot wait to welcome our new customers over the coming weeks.”
