Two arrested following aggravated burglary and assault in Odd Down

A search involving a National Police Air Service helicopter following an incident in the Odd Down area of Bath yesterday evening, Wednesday 3rd January, has led to the arrest of a man in his 40s.

The man was arrested in the Moorlands area on suspicion of aggravated burglary and assault. He remains in police custody.

A woman went to hospital for treatment for head injuries including a cut and bruising.

A juvenile arrested on suspicion of wounding a man has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

No one suffered life-threatening or life-changing injuries.

A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) said: “We were called at 20:53hrs on Wednesday 03 January to an incident near Banwell Road, Bath.

“We sent one double-crewed land ambulance, and we conveyed one patient by land ambulance to the Royal United Hospital, Bath.”

Residents may see an increased police presence in the area while enquiries continue.
