Avon and Somerset Police are appealing for information after a member of store staff was assaulted in Sainsbury’s car park on Frome Road in Bath at around 4.30pm on Saturday 26th August.
The 27-year-old man approached a group of teenagers in the car park after they were abusive in the supermarket and asked them to leave.
One of the group tried to punch the man. While he tried to restrain him both fell to the floor and others in the group began kicking the man.
The main offender was described as of mixed parentage, in his mid-teens, about 5ft 5ins tall and wore a red T-shirt, black jogging bottoms and red trainers.
The approach of two men seems to have ended the incident and the teenagers left the car park. Officers are keen to trace these two men who may have valuable information.
The two men – or anyone else with information which could help police enquiries – is asked to get in touch through www.avonandsomerset.police.uk/contact, or by calling 101, quoting reference 5217195678.
Alternatively ring the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. They never ask your name or trace your call. You could even qualify for a reward and still remain anonymous.
