A 19-year-old man who was arrested on Friday, in connection with another man of the same age suffering serious head injuries in Bath, has been bailed by police.
Emergency crews were called at around 3am on Friday morning to reports of a man with serious head injuries in Westmoreland Street.
The injured 19-year-old was rushed to the Royal United Hospital in Bath before being transferred to the major trauma centre at Southmead in Bristol.
The man remains in a serious condition.
Police have now said the incident is not believed to be suspicious.
Officers are however still keen to hear from anyone who was in the Westmoreland Road/Cheltenham Street area at about 3am on Friday morning who has information to help them piece together exactly what happened.
Anyone able to help is asked to contact the force on 101.
