There are less than four weeks left to have your say on the strategic policing priorities that will help shape the next Avon and Somerset Police and Crime Plan.
Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) Sue Mountstevens has been encouraging local communities across Avon and Somerset to share their views online, in the post, over the phone and face-to-face.
Over 1,300 people have already taken part in the consultation and if you’ve yet to have your say on what you think the police should be focusing on, there’s still time before the survey closes on Tuesday, 30th August, 2016.
PCC Sue Mountstevens said: “Thank you to everyone who has already taken part in the survey. For those who haven’t, there’s still time to share your views on what you believe should be a policing priority in the next Police and Crime Plan for Avon and Somerset.”
To ensure that the Police and Crime Plan addresses peoples’ policing and community safety needs, PCC Sue Mountstevens wants to hear and gather as many views as possible including the ‘quiet voices’ and those who do not usually engage with the police.
Sue added: “It is really important that local people tell me what is important to them so it becomes our Police and Crime Plan.
“I want to hear from as many voices as possible including residents, community groups, young people and particularly victims of crime.”

All Police and Crime Commissioners have a statutory responsibility to produce a Police and Crime Plan.
The findings of the online consultation will be used to inform the strategic policing priorities, aims and objectives in the next Avon and Somerset Police and Crime Plan.
This will then be presented to the Police and Crime Panel for review, before being published in October.
The consultation closes on Tuesday, 30th August, 2016.
