Police in Bath have issued a number of CCTV images following an assault on The Paragon in which a 22-year-old man was knocked unconscious and suffered a broken jaw.

The man had left Club XL and was walking alone up the steps from Walcot Street to The Paragon at around 1am on Saturday 1st November last year.

Near the top of the steps he walked past a group of men and women who were having an argument.

It was then, unprovoked, that he was punched and knocked to the ground.

The man, from Harlow in Essex, was in Bath visiting friends and had been out with them in the city centre.

He went to hospital the following day and needed surgery to repair his jaw.

Anyone with information should contact Crimestoppers immediately, or call police on 101, quoting reference number 115247/14.
