Moves to establish a new governing structure for the Alice Park Trust have taken another step forward, following a meeting of Bath & North East Somerset Council’s Charitable Trust Board.

The Charitable Trust Board met on Friday 10th June 2016 and agreed to the formation of the Alice Park Trust sub-committee which will oversee the management and improvement of Alice Park – such as considering the proposal for a new skate park.

Two independent members will also be recruited to join the sub-committee – further details of how to apply for these positions will be published in due course.

Cllr Martin Veal (Conservative, Bathavon North), Cabinet Member for Community Services, said: “We’re very pleased to support the establishment of the Alice Park Trust and the sub-committee.

“We look forward to advertising the independent places on the sub-committee soon and we welcome applications from anyone who is keen to work with us on delivering future improvements for Alice Park.”
