A search has been launched to find a missing teddy bear, Sirona Ted, which is the mascot for Sirona care & health’s state-of-the-art Children’s Audiology Clinic opened by former Bath Rugby star Mat Gilbert nearly two years ago.
The official opening also saw the unveiling of Sirona Ted created by retired GP Dr Elizabeth Rowse in the purple colours of the not-for-profit organisation.
But now he has disappeared from his case which has pride of place in the Audiology Clinic’s waiting room at the Clara Cross Centre at St Martin’s Hospital, Bath.
Claire Ball, Sirona’s audiology services co-ordinator, said: “We don’t know whether he’s gone to the Christmas Market in the city centre to get a new outfit or a festive top to wear when staff take part in a special fundraising day but we’d really like to have him back.”
Sirona staff are wearing festive jumpers on 17th December to raise money for the organisation’s Charity of the Year, The Marmalade Trust, a charity which aims to combat loneliness and one of its key initiatives is organising Christmas lunches for those who would otherwise be on their own.
Anyone who knows where Sirona Ted may be is asked to contact Glyn Young on 01225 831763 or return him to St Martin’s Hospital.
