Bath-based Epoch Wealth Management has been awarded the prestigious title of Accredited Financial Planning Firm by the Institute of Financial Planning (IFP).

Epoch is one of 75 firms nationally – and the only independent financial adviser in Bath – to join the elite group of accredited firms.

This puts Epoch in the top one per cent of the UK’s leading financial planning firms.

The IFP, which recently merged with the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI), awards accredited status only to firms that demonstrate the very highest professional standards of financial planning.

It complements the Corporate Chartered status the firm already enjoys.

To meet the IFP’s strict criteria for approval, Epoch had to show that it provides a comprehensive financial planning service and a clear fee structure to its clients.

The firm also had to demonstrate its commitment to the IFP’s professional code of ethics and practice standards, as well as having highly qualified and trained advisers.

Epoch founding partner Markas Gilmartin said: “Accredited status is awarded to a very small minority of firms nationally so we are naturally delighted and proud to join this exclusive group of leading IFAs.

“It’s further external recognition of our commitment to providing the very highest standards of service to all our clients.

“It means people can be confident that they are receiving the best possible financial advice to help them achieve their goals in life.”
