On Sunday 15th November, at Parade Gardens in Bath, the public are invited to come along for free to enjoy Bath’s Winter Wonderland in aid of Cancer Research UK.

From 11am to 4pm there will be; children’s games & entertainment, a Winnie the Pooh bouncy castle, face painting by Fantasy Faces, live music from various bands and choirs, a Santa’s grotto (with a very special appearance from Elsa from Frozen!), delicious food and drink stalls from Bath Indies, including; Henny & Joe’s, The Pizza Bake and The Organic Cake Co.

At the same time, the public can watch Bath Independent Businesses ‘battle it out’ in The Great Christmas Pudding Race.

This hilarious race will see teams walking and skipping around a challenging and fun obstacle course, made up of giant inflatable slides and tunnels, whilst dressed in wacky festive costumes and attempting to carry puddings on trays.

The Event Organiser and an Independent Business Owner, Emma Savage said: “Cancer Research is a charity close to so many people’s hearts and after being lucky enough to visit their research labs in Bristol earlier this year, I was inspired and determined to organise something that will hopefully raise a lot of money!

“Cancer Research do incredible work and I would love for Bath’s Independent Businesses to say they raised thousands of pounds for the charity – and what better way is there to do it than a crazy obstacle course!?”

This unique fundraising event in aid of Cancer Research UK, first started in Covent Garden, London by an incredible group of volunteers who will be celebrating the success of their 26th Great Christmas Pudding Race this year.

It is such a memorable annual event for visitors and residents in London, it was even named one of the ‘top things to do’ in London in Time Out Magazine, December 2013 and has been featured in several local, national and international news outlets including the BBC, ITN, and Reuters. It is now coming to Bath!
