Choir director sets her sights on Bath as latest location for pay-as-you-go singing

Following on from the phenomenal success of the City Singers choirs in Oxford and Edinburgh, founder and choir director Michelle Anthony-Cresswell is now setting her sights on Bath as the latest location for her pay-as-you-go singing group.

With membership numbers in the existing choirs each exceeding 150, Michelle hopes that with no auditions, a welcoming atmosphere, and an eclectic music selection, the people of Bath will be inspired to come and discover their singing voice, matching the success of Oxford and Edinburgh.

S.Fraser from Edinburgh said: “Michelle has a knack of getting the best of out everyone with her cheerful, encouraging, and calm manner, making it all so enjoyable!”

Rehearsals for Bath City Singers are weekly on Tuesdays at 7pm, at St Michael’s Church on Broad Street in the city centre, and anyone is invited to go along and sing.

Singers are encouraged to fit rehearsals around their busy lives, with no pressure to be there every week.

Choir members only need pay for the sessions attended and there is no lump sum required at the beginning of term.

For those who enjoy the limelight, members will have the chance to perform in locations across the city at charity events and termly concerts.
