Local residents are being encouraged to come into Bath this Christmas, buy all your presents and have them beautifully wrapped in designer paper before you head home, all for free.

From 10th December to 6pm on Christmas Eve, the service is on offer for everyone and is available free of charge.

Pop along to the Luxury Gift Wrapping Station in Milsom Place, and the expert team will work their magic so that your gifts are beautifully presented.

The service has been launched in conjunction with city centre businesses, and arranged by the Bath Business Improvement District (BID).

Gifts will be wrapped for free, with suggested donations being made to Julian House, the local homeless charity.

The wrapping paper has been designed to celebrate the stunning city of Bath. Available in two colour palettes, red & white or black & gold, it depicts icons of the city, from Roman Baths and Laura Place to Bath Rugby posts and Minerva Owls.

The whole city has been united behind the special initiative. From students to seniors, Bath residents have volunteered to wrap presents and Suited & Booted, the film production company, have recorded the training video.

Kate Smith from The Makery has been teaching everyone to wrap and The Ivy Brasserie hosted the training event.

Milsom Place have provided shop space, Portico Designs advised on supplies and SteersMcGillanEves designed the special wrapping paper.

Allison Herbert, CEO of Bath BID, said: “We want to make sure that visitors to the city have the very best customer service that they can.

“It’s a top notch service, it’s free of charge and another way for us to ensure that Christmas shopping in Bath is an extra special experience.

“We have 6km of this gorgeous paper, which we worked out is just enough to cover Bath Abbey, and over 100 people expertly trained, so we are ready, willing and able to wrap presents for everyone.”
