Following on from their recent success in raising money for local charities over the past few seasons, Bath City FC have confirmed the charity chosen for the 2017/2018 season is Age UK B&NES.
Age UK Bath & North East Somerset are a local independent charity where every penny raised helps to support older people living in our region.
Their vision is that all older people live a healthy, happy and fulfilling later life. Too many older people living in our area are isolated, lonely, anxious and living with poor health.
Each year Age UK B&NES supports over 12,000 older people by running classes and clubs, the Walking Football initiative being just one. Life changing services such as Befriending and getting people home from hospital are available as well as free information and advice.
Aimi Kuhlke, Fundraising and Communications Manager said: “We are so pleased to have been chosen as Bath City FC’s Charity of the Season, it’s a great opportunity to speak to local people about our work.
“All the money that we raise on match days will support our services that help to combat loneliness and enable older people in Bath & North East Somerset to live happier, healthier and more fulfilling lives.
“We’re so grateful for the opportunity that the club has given us.”
