Bath Business Improvement District (BID) will be opening a ‘Pop Up Savings Shop’ at The Huntsman during February to help businesses maximise money saving opportunities.

“One of the key priorities of the BID has always been about helping Bath businesses, and indeed staff, to save money,” explained Andrew Cooper, Chief Executive of Bath BID.

“However, we appreciate that in a busy working and trading environment it is not always easy to find the time to understand the multiple ways in which the Bath BID offers direct savings.

“The ‘drop in’ Savings Shop will feature representatives from the Bid Ranger Team, BCR Associates, Sita Trade Waste, Six Forward Ltd, First Bus and others who will be able to explain the opportunities.

“The BID Ranger Team will offer cleaning advice and will also be able to schedule a free clean for businesses, while Sita Trade Waste will provide more information about the service and how much money businesses could save if they are not already signed up to the scheme.

“BCR Associates will reveal how businesses can make savings on gas, electricity, telecoms and more. Businesses can book a free business health check to identify exactly where they could save money.

“Capital Tax Allowances experts Six Forward Ltd will explain how commercial property owning BID businesses can potentially save thousands in tax relief.

“First Bus will be on hand to explain how staff who use the bus service can take advantage of discounted fares available through a partnership between Bath BID and First Bus, and visitors will also be able to find out how they can reduce costs on office stationery.

“We are delighted to offer this service for Bath businesses and invite any business that is interested in learning more. There will be free giveaways for every attendee, as well as tea, coffee and refreshments freely available.

“Wine and canapes will also be served at the Thursday evening event. We thank all of the participants for giving their time to this event.”

The Pop Up Shop will feature a business card raffle to win a magnum of Champagne and there will also be a suggestions box for visitors to leave proposals for future BID initiatives.

The Bath BID Pop Up Savings Shop will be held at The Huntsman from Monday 9th – Friday 13th February 2015, 10am-4pm, and also Thursday 12th February 5.30pm-7pm.

Businesses do not have to book for the daytime sessions but if they would like to attend the evening event on Thursday 12th February 5.30pm-7pm they should contact the Bath BID office to book a place.
