A Bath-based therapist has teamed up with a leading anxiety charity to help support local residents in need of therapy.

Anxiety UK is the largest anxiety disorder charity in the UK, and is user-led with more than forty years’ experience in supporting those living with anxiety.

Anxiety disorders are common and treatable. Anxiety UK works to relieve and support those living with these conditions by providing information, support and understanding via an extensive range of services.

The Anxiety UK helpline alone receives over 16,000 calls a year from people suffering from phobias and anxiety disorders.

The charity provides support to people with any anxiety condition, or specific phobia such as fear of spiders, blushing, vomiting, being alone, public speaking, heights – in fact, any fear that stops people from living their lives to the full.

One of the services, which the charity offers to its members, is fast access 1:1 therapy from approved therapists to support them in their recovery.

To make sure that there are equal opportunities for all their members, Anxiety UK carries out a means tested assessment so that an agreed affordable fee is paid which covers the expenses of both the charity and the therapist.

Bath based clinical hypnotherapist, Daniel Kronenberg, has recently been approved by the charity.

He said: “I was very pleased to be accepted by Anxiety UK to work together with them and their members to relieve the suffering which affects more than 10 percent of the population at some stage in their life.

“There is plenty of evidence to suggest that hypnotherapy is very beneficial to people experiencing anxiety. Indeed over the years that Anxiety UK has been running its therapy services, it has consistently had positive feedback from members about hypnotherapy.

“At present I am the only therapist in Bath to offer this service and I’d like to encourage more to sign up.”

It’s always great to be able to use the skills that we have as hypnotherapists to help others in a charitable way as well as within private practice. This is lovely to see.
