The City of Bath College and the ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) are working together on a free event for anyone interested in a career in finance.
On Thursday April 3rd at 6pm, Clare Livermore from ACCA will be giving advice about what is required to become a professionally qualified accountant.
The information evening at City of Bath College will be particularly relevant to those who have completed or have nearly finished their AAT (the Association of Accounting Technicians) studies, but will also be useful for anyone interested in a career in finance.
Leah Brown, ACCA UK’s student recruitment manager said: “Finance consistently scores highly as one of the most secure professions; it is also one of the most in-demand. Every company, regardless of its size needs expert financial help.
“ACCA has always believed that access to the profession should be based solely on ability so no matter what you previous experience of qualifications you can begin studying towards this professional qualification.
“I’d like to thank City of Bath College for hosting this event and I hope anyone who might be considering a career in finance can attend.”
Clive Coppage, Head of Business at City of Bath College, said everyone was welcome at the event to find out more or ask questions.
He said: “This is a great opportunity for people to get some all-important advice on how to better their careers.
“We’re teaming up with the ACCA to help people take the next step to becoming a qualified accountant.
“Whatever your stage in education or work, this is an event you cannot afford to miss.”
City of Bath College offers a range of accountancy qualifications which are practical, flexible and open to people at all levels. The professional courses are an excellent and cost-effective route to studying for a university degree in finance or accounting.
