A man from Bath is being hunted by Devon and Cornwall Police after an axe raid robbery at a holiday park in Dawlish last summer.
Dean Smart is wanted in connection with the robbery at Golden Sands Holiday Park in Dawlish Warren in the early hours of 27th August 2013.
Three other men have been arrested and charged in connection with the incident. One of the men pleaded guilty to the robbery in court earlier this month.
Two of the men who have already been arrested are from the local area. Craig Lockyer, from Radstock, admitted to stealing £12,000 at the Golden Sands park but a second man has denied the charge.
Michael Kelly, from Lippiatt Lane, Bath, denied the offence and police are continuing their inquiries into the incident. The men remain on remand in prison, awaiting trial.
The holiday park robbers, wearing balaclavas, forced staff to open a safe containing a large quantity of cash at Golden Sands Holiday complex, in Dawlish after breaking a man’s jaw.
27-year-old Smart, who is from the Bath area, is considered dangerous, and police believe he is actively evading capture.
Officers would appreciate any information that the public may have surrounding Dean Smart’s whereabouts.
Anyone seeing him should not approach him but call police, immediately on 999, or anonymously call Crimestoppers on 0800 555111, quoting JG/13/1616.
