Bath’s destination food and drink quarter – The Vaults – welcomed a new outlet last week with the launch of Jika Jika.

Owned by rugby stars Matt Stevens and Lee Mears the new café at The Vaults is the second in the Jika Jika empire and promises to deliver the very best in food and drink.

Matt Stevens said: “We are delighted with our new venture – it’s the product of three years developing a quality café brand. The very best gourmet coffee is still at the very heart of our business coupled with delicious fresh food prepared daily. Our goal is to serve the growing market of Bathonians that desire a better standard of coffee and food on the move.”

Jika Jika is named after the legend of King Jika Jika – a mysterious African monarch, adventurer, epicurean and renowned barista. The interior bears testament to the story of the King with detailed words and pictures depicting his exploits.

Jika Jika is open from 6.30am to 6.00pm Monday-Friday, 8am-6pm Saturday and 10am-5pm Sundays.
