The Bath Boules event in Queen Square between 9th and 11th June is set to surpass all previous years with more sponsors, partners and raffle-prizes than ever before.
Known as Bath’s summer party, this much-loved event is free to everyone to attend whether residents, businesses, visitors, adults or kids.
“So many businesses and organisations in Bath have backed the Bath Boules – it’s just incredible! When Bath comes together like this, truly brilliant things can happen,” said event organiser Stephanie Dodd.
“To all – thank you. And we are determined to make this the best party Bath has ever had: come along!”
Sponsored once more by Royds Withy King, it takes place in Queen Square from 9am Friday 9th June until late on Sunday 11th June.
Attractions include a street food market, an enhanced marquee with Boules Bar, Pimms and Champagne garden area, BBQ, face painting, over 50 raffle prizes to be won, music (not all French, allegedly), a kid’s games and activities, sundry bars – plus surprises like a Lovehoney-sponsored idiosyncratic Boules mascot, and the new Zara Perry mascot. There might even be the odd game of boules.
Two sides of the Square are closed for the street food market which will feature: Bubbles & Brew, Los Churros Amigos, The Three Daggers, Voodoo Q, The French Kitchen, Yeo Valley Icecream, The Nosh Box, Ole Tapas, Mint Room, Plenty Hospitality, Claud the Butler, Honey’s Midford Cider, TandooriQ, Fire & Brew, Didi’s Cakes, The Francis Hotel and The Juice Collective.
Over 300 companies and organisations are involved this year in the Bath Boules. There are 192 teams playing over the three days, including on Le Bunk Off Friday, Bath’s unofficial bank holiday.
The Friday night party is sponsored by Novia and is free for all to attend. The Thursday night before the Boules sees the Creative Bath Awards and summer party in the Square – for more information on this and tickets visit www.creativebath.org.
